InaninterviewwithFoxNewsDigital,BrentSadler,aHeritageFoundationseniorresearchfellowwhoserved26yearsintheNavyaftergraduatingfromtheNavalAcademyin1994,suggestedthatSherill’sinvolvementinthescandalgoesdeeperthansheislettingon.
Hesaidthattoreceivethepunishmentimposedonher,beingkeptfromgraduatingwithherclass,Sherillwouldhavehadtohaveliedorobscuredthefactsatsomepoint.
“Atsomepointintime,shelied,orsheobscuredthefacts,Iwouldsaylying,andthat’swhyshedidn’tgraduateorwalkacrossthestage.Becauseifyousimplydidnotreportsomething,itwasn’tgroundsforhonorcodeviolationsatthetime,”heexplained.
