Good news and bad news for Ron DeSantis, Marco Rubio in 2028 GOP poll

New polling suggests that while Marco Rubio and Ron DeSantis may not be most people’s first choices for the Republican presidential nomination, at least they are being considered. 
While the Secretary of State has just 4% support and the Governor 8% as “ideal candidates” in the latest YouGov survey, the numbers are better when respondents are asked if they would consider the Florida men as nominees.
Rubio is up to 33% when that question is posed.

And DeSantis is even better positioned, with 40%.
Vice President JD Vance is the runaway winner on both metrics.
